In order to ensure safe handling of medical equipment and measuring instruments and to enable tests to be
performed safely, leakage current and other factors that have adverse effect on human body are prescribed
by the safety test standards.
When performing the check, assessment should be made by measuring the leakage current with a leakage
current measure that satisfies the measurement conditions for medical electrical equipment.
WARNING
If, during a safety inspection, a value that exceeds the allowable limit is confirmed,
immediately stop using the given unit; then replace the defective part or make
proper repairs. Failure to repair the unit can lead to a serious accident.
Note:
z There are a several types of measurement states in the measurement of leakage current, be
sure to determine the maximum value among all the measured values and adopt it as the
measured value. It is also important to compare the measured values against those in the
past and check whether there are any problematic changes in them.
