Installing and removing hard disk drives

Installing a hard disk drive in a 5 1/4-inch drive bay

Open the workstation (see "Opening the workstation").

Make the required settings (e.g. master-slave) on the hard disk drives.

Installation frames come in various sizes. The installation frame or angled installation
bracket must have the height of a 5 1/4 inch bay.

The illustrated installation frame is an example and may differ from the model installed in
your workstation.

Fasten the drive with the four screws (1).

Install the installation frame with the drive in the desired front bay (see "Installing an accessible
drive").

Close the slot with the panel. Ensure that the cover engages.

Close the workstation (see "Closing the Workstation").
