PRIMERGY TX300 S4 User's Guide

6.5.1 Installation Location of Expansion Cards

The server has seven PCI slots to accommodate up to seven expansion cards.

The operating frequency differs depending on the number of installed expansion cards and their
specifications.

PCI slot 1 is installed with a SAS array controller card or SAS controller card as a standard feature.

PCI slot 3 and 6 will be converted to PCI-Express x8 under the environment where:

• PCI slot 3: PCI slot 2 is empty.
• PCI slot 6: PCI slot 5 is empty.
