Chapter 5 High Reliability Tools
5.1 RAID Management Tool
RAID management tool performs configuration, initialization and monitoring of the
hard disk array. For details, refer to the manual in the Array Controller Document &
Tool CD.
OS installation using ServerStart
` When the OS has been installed using ServerStart, RAID management tool has been also installed
together with the OS as well as other high reliability tools.

Complete the following settings after the OS installation.

Configuration of the array administrator account
Set an array administrator account for the RAID management tool (ServerView RAID).
A Windows user account is required when using ServerView RAID.
Create a group named "raid-adm", and an account with any name for an array administrator within the
group, "raid-adm".

Configuration of HDD Check Scheduler
Modify the settings of HDD Check Scheduler if necessary. It has been set at 12 o'clock every day as a
default setting.

Configuration of Battery Recalibration Scheduler
Modify the settings of Battery Recalibration Scheduler if necessary. It has been set at 11 o'clock on the
first day of every month as a default setting.
