Starting up and operation

Configuring the server

This section contains information about configuring the server and installing the 
operating system.

I

Make sure that the power saving functions are disabled in the 

Power

 

menu of the BIOS Setup during operation.

6.4.1

Configuring the onboard SATA controller

A SATA controller is integrated on the system board. You can configure the 
onboard controller either before or during installation with the ServerView 
Installation Manager. Using the ServerView Installation Manager is 
recommended.

The controller has its own configuration utility. For further information, 
refer to the “Embedded MegaRAID Software User’s Guide” (on the 
Fujitsu manuals server under
