Energy saving functions

Optimising energy management

The Pocket PC uses less power when the energy saving functions are enabled. This means
you can work with the Pocket PC for longer before having to recharge the battery.

General information on energy management

The battery operating time depends greatly on the applications used. Please note that a particularly
large amount of energy is required to play sound

fi

les or make sound recordings.

Exchanging data with a computer also consumes additional battery power. Therefore always
connect your Pocket PC to an electrical outlet when exchanging data if possible.

Using energy saving functions

Energy saving functions

You can save energy in several ways to optimally utilise the battery operating time:

configuring Standby mode

Start – Settings – System – Power

select the number of minutes after which the

Pocket PC is to switch into the Standby mode when not being used.
After the speci

fi

ed time has passed, the Pocket PC will automatically bet set to standby mode.

Press the End button to end standby mode. The Pocket PC returns to
the point at which you interrupted your work.

Switching off backlight

Backlight

select the number of minutes after which the display

lighting is to be switched off if the Pocket PC is not used and is running in battery mode.
