Getting started
Connecting an external monitor
It is possible to connect a digital monitor to the DisplayPort. The screen output is limited to a
maximum of two screens at the same time. Information about converting the monitor output
can be found in Section
"Important keys and keyboard shortcuts", Page 38 .

► Switch off the system.
► Plug the data cable of the external monitor into the monitor port.
► First switch on the external monitor and then the system.
You can also switch back and forth between the external monitor
and the LCD monitor of the system.
You can display the same picture on the external monitor and the
system’s LCD monitor simultaneously.
Connecting external audio devices
Microphone port/Line In

The microphone port/Line In allows you to connect an external microphone, a MiniDisc
player, MP3 player, CD player or a tape deck to your system.
► Connect the audio cable to the
external device.
► Connect the audio cable to the microphone
port/Line In of the system.
