System expansions

Installing and removing a board

You can install additional modules in order to increase the performance of your machine.

The number, position and arrangement of the board slots on the mainboard can be found in
the manual for the mainboard. Boards may already be installed on shipment.

Open the casing (see

"Open the casing", Page 43

).

For long boards: Open the service door (see

"Open the service door", Page 45

).

►

Disconnect the cables connected to the board.

Fold the board lock (1) upwards.

►

Loosen the screw on the board (2), if one is

fi

tted.

Boards in the PCI Express x16 slot are also secured at the bottom of the
slot with a locking latch (3). Push the latch to the side to release the card.
You can then remove the card as described below.

►

Pull the slot cover out of the slot in the direction of the arrow (4).

►

Place the board in suitable packaging.
