16-bit PPG Status Control Register (Upper) ch. n
(PCNTHn)
The 16-bit PPG status control register (upper) ch. n enables or disables the 16-
bit PPG timer, and controls the software trigger, operating mode, operating
clock and output mask.

[bit7] CNTE: Timer enable bit
This bit enables or stops the 16-bit PPG timer operation.
When "0" is written to this bit, the 16-bit PPG timer operation stops immediately and the PPGn output goes
to the initial level ("L" output if OSEL is "0"; "H" output if OSEL is "1").
When "1" is written to this bit, the 16-bit PPG timer operation is enabled and the 16-bit PPG timer goes to
standby to wait for a trigger.
[bit6] STRG: Software trigger bit
This bit starts the 16-bit PPG timer by software.
With the CNTE bit set to "1", writing "1" to the STRG bit starts the 16-bit PPG timer.
[bit5] MDSE: Mode select bit
This bit selects the operating mode of the 16-bit PPG timer.
Note: While the 16-bit PPG timer is in operation, modifying the setting of this bit is prohibited.
