2 On the Connectivity settings page, tap DICOM Setup.
3 Tap Config .
4 Tap Import .
5 Select the USB memory stick, and then tap Import .
The system restarts. All configurations on the system are replaced with imported data.
To export connectivity settings
1 Connect a USB memory stick (see “To connect a USB memory stick for importing or exporting” on
page 2-6).
2 On the Connectivity settings page, tap DICOM Setup .
3 Tap Config .
4 Tap Export .
5 Select the USB memory stick, and then tap Export .
All configurations on the USB memory stick are replaced with exported data. Five seconds after the
exporting completes, you can safely remove the USB memory stick and use it to import the data onto
another SonoSite X-Porte system.
DICOM
Using data in the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard, the ultrasound system
can do the following:

Transfer patient exam data to an archiver, DICOM printer, or storage commitment server (see “Archiving
and exporting” on page 4-41).

Import patient data from a worklist (see “Entering patient information” on page 4-31).

Export exam data as DICOMDIR files to a USB storage device (see “USB settings” on page 3-36).
The system conforms to the DICOM standard as specified in the Sonosite X-Porte DICOM Conformance
Statement , available at www.sonosite.com .
The Sonosite X-Porte DICOM Conformance Statement provides information about the purpose,
characteristics, configuration, and specifications of the network connections supported by the system.
The system connects over a local area network (LAN) to the following:

Picture Archive and Communication Systems (PACS) archivers

Worklist servers

Modality Performed Procedure Step (MPPS) servers
