2.2 Connecting the Machine to a Computer

When Connecting by Entering the SSID Manually

At the Home screen, tap > [Device] .

Tap [Network Settings] > [Wi-Fi Settings].

Tap [Wi-Fi Setup Wizard].

Tap [Enter SSID].

Enter the SSID and tap .

Select [Infrastructure] or [Ad hoc], depending on the environment you are using.

Note



If [Wi-Fi Direct] is enabled, [Ad hoc] cannot be used.

Tap .

Specify the encryption type.

Tap .

Enter the WEP key or passphrase as needed, and tap [OK].

Connecting Using [Quick Setup] (Windows)

Using [Printer Software], [Quick Setup] makes wireless network connections easy to set up. Using
[Quick Setup], when you connect to a network, you can handle the software installation at the same
time.

[Printer Software] is available for download at the official company website.
