5.3 Installation
5.3.1 Ventilation
DANGER!
Risk of fatal injury from the use of
explosive gas mixtures, vapours,
dust or aggressive hazardous
substances!
The use of explosive gas mixtures,
vapours, dust or aggressive hazard-
ous substances to ventilate the screw
compressor can cause severe or
even fatal injuries as well as signifi-
cant material damage.
- Never use explosive gas mixtures,
vapours, dust or aggressive haz-
ardous substances to ventilate the
screw compressor.
- Ensure that no potentially explo-
sive gas mixtures, vapours, dust or
aggressive hazardous substances
enter into the ventilation for the
screw compressor.
The air supplied via the intake openings is used for
compression purposes and for cooling the unit.

Risk of material damage due to
condensation!
Cooling air that is too humid can cre-
ate condensation.
- Only supply cool, dry and dust-free
cooling air.
- For the intake of outside air, use a
recirculating air flap.

Provide the required rate of cooling air ac-
cording to the technical data for the scroll
compressor (

Extract the exhaust air according to the tech-
nical data for the scroll compressor

).

This can prevent overheating of the air
compressor room and oil-free scroll air
compressor.
