6. On the “General” tab, enable the options “Obtain an IP address
automatically” and “Obtain DNS server address automatically”.
7. Click “OK” to save the settings.
8. Enable the options “Obtain an IP address automatically” and
“Obtain DNS server address automatically” for the Internet pro­
tocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6) as well.
The network device receives an IP address from the FRITZ!Box.
Obtaining an IP Address Automatically in Mac OS X
1.
Select the “System Preferences” in the Apple menu.
2.
In the “System Preferences” window, click “Network”.
3.
In the “Network” window, select the “Ethernet” entry from
the “Show:” list.
4.
Switch to the “TCP/IP” settings page and select the “Using
DHCP:” option from the “Configure IPv4” drop-down menu.
5.
Click “OK”.
The network device now automatically receives an IP address from
the FRITZ!Box.
