Top Freezer Refrigerator
INSTALLATION TIPS
• Load refrigerator from side of cabinet only.
• Do not run retaining straps over handles.
• Do not over-tighten retaining straps.
• Never use refrigerator handles to move the refrigerator.
• Remove tape from doors only after unit is in place.

DOOR ADJUSTMENT
4. Open the freezer door enough to allow it to be
lifted off the center hinge. Remove door.
1. Lift off plastic top hinge cover (not on all
models).
2. Trace around top hinge with soft lead pencil for
easy relocation.
5. With the refrigerator door closed, remove center
hinge pin by pulling up. Hold handle side with other
hand. NOTE: Save washers. They are important
for door alignment and reinstallment.
3. Remove the two screws attaching top hinge to
cabinet. Lift the hinge up and off.

9. Check door alignment. Space between door and
cabinet edge (gasket space) should be 3/4” at top
hinge, the width of a penny.
IMPORTANT! If moisture forms on the
metal between the two doors, set the
Moisture Reduction Switch (located on
control box in the refrigerator compartment)
to the “ON” position.

Moisture Reduction Switch
All four corners of refrigerator must rest firmly on a solid floor. Some models are equipped with adjustable screw-type levelers. Others are equipped with
rollers. If your refrigerator did not come equipped with rollers, they can be purchased from your dealer.
NOTE: Raise the front of cabinet enough so doors will close freely when opened halfway. Level cabinet side to side.
To adjust front rollers:
1. Remove Toe Grille. (Some models)
2. Use a screwdriver, 3/8” socket wrench,
or nutdriver to adjust rollers.
To adjust screw-type levelers:
1. Remove Toe Grille. (Some models)
2. Tip cabinet back slightly.
3. Raise/lower adjusting bolts as needed.

6. Open refrigerator door enough to allow door to
be lifted off the lower hinge.
7. Remove the two screws attaching the lower
hinge. Save the hinge, washer (some models) and
screws for reassembly later.
Use the hinge that
matches your unit.
8. Set refrigerator in final location. Ensure the
condenser (black coils/tubing) on back of
refrigerator is at least 1” from the wall. Reinstall
hinges and doors.
