SECTION 4 - COMPONENT TEAR DOWN
Drive Belt
The drive belt is a ribbed, tension-type belt and requires no
additional adjustment.
To remove the drive belt:
1. Disconnect the washer from electrical source and remove
the front panel and motor control board.
2. Apply pressure downward on the belt as you rotate the
drive pulley to roll the belt off the motor pulley. See note
below for reinstalling drive belt.
Drive Belt Reinstallation
To reinstall the drive belt:
1. Start with the belt wrapped around the motor pulley.
2. Loop the other end of the belt over one single tab of the
wash group pulley.
3. Reach into the wash group, grasp the balance ring and
rotate the spin tub clockwise until you feel the belt
“jump” onto the pulley and then right off the tab it is
wrapped over.
Drive Motor Shield
The drive motor shield is attached to the splash tub above
the drive motor with two screws.
To remove the drive motor shield:
1. Disconnect the washer from electrical source and remove
the front panel.
2. Depress the retaining tabs on the harness Panduit clip to
release the harness from the drive motor shield. Use a
pair of pliers if necessary.
3. Remove both mounting screws from the drive motor
shield with a #2 square bit screwdriver.
