SECTION 4 - COMPONENT TEAR DOWN
Lid Lock Assembly
The lid lock assembly is held in place by a small retention
feature under the front.
To remove the lid lock assembly:
1. Disconnect the washer from electrical source, remove the
front panel and lift the washer lid.
2. With a screwdriver, press upward on the front ledge of
the lid lock assembly to disengage the retention feature
under the front ledge.
3. With the retention feature disengaged, slide the lock
assembly forward enough to lower the rear ledge
downward through the opening in the top panel.
Top Panel
The top panel is held in place with screws up through the
front of the side panels and tip rearward on hinges at the
back of the cabinet.
To tip the top panel:
1. Disconnect the washer from electrical source, lift the
washer lid and remove the front panel.
2. Remove the two side panel-to-top panel screws with a
#2 square bit screwdriver.
3. Place a piece of tape from front edge of lid to under front
edge of top panel to secure lid in downward position
before tipping top panel.

IMPORTANT
If lid is not taped in place, spring-assisted hinges may
cause the lid to open as you tip the top panel backward,
impacting console knobs.
