Assembly
The Slalom Ski Foot module is pre-assembled consisting of a graphite component
(keel)and soleplate. After dynamic alignment, secure pyramid adjustment screws with a
thread locking adhesive (i.e., LocTite T242). Torque the pyramid adjustment screws to
the manufacturer’s specifications.
Dynamic Alignment
The Slalom Ski Foot should be aligned so the user is comfortable in his/her ski stance
position. The pyramid of the foot is angled anteriorly 8º. The foot may require
plantarflexion or dorsiflexion to accommodate the user’s preferred stance position. The
position of the contralateral ski boot (if applicable) provides a reference.
Use
The Slalom Ski Foot is designed to insert directly into the ski binding, eliminating the
need for a ski boot. The sole material protects the composite components during limited
ambulation.

Maintenance
The foot module requires periodic maintenance.
• Inspect the foot module every six months. If the user is more active, more frequent
inspection may necessary. Service as necessary.
• Replace sole material as necessary to prevent damage to the composite components.
• The foot module may be cleaned and/or disinfected with soap and warm water.

Failure to adhere to the guidelines of the
Instructions for Use
will void the warranty.
• The Slalom Ski Foot is intended for alpine skiing exclusively. Use for other activities
may cause injury and will void the warranty.
• The Slalom Ski Foot is not intended to be used for jumping on skis of any kind.
Jumping may cause injury and will void the warranty.
• Freedom Innovations foot modules are manufactured to fit industry standard pyramids
and receivers. It is the prosthetist’s responsibility to select and/or fabricate properly
fitting attachment components.
• Never attempt to loosen the bolt affixing the pyramid connector.
• The user should discontinue use and consult his/her prosthetist if any part of the
prosthesis starts to make noise.
• The user should inform his/her prosthetist of significantly body weight changes.
• Freedom Innovations foot products are manufactured and tested for a particular weight
and activity impact level. Use by another user for whom it was not originally
manufactured may cause injury and shall void any written or implied warranty.
