7.2 Filter Specifications
ODORS REDUCTION EFFICIENCY
The life time indicated is purely indicative since the filter’s behavior is influenced by several factors,
such as:
• The type and concentration of the pollutants the filter is exposed to;
• The length of exposition;
• The working speed/flow of the hood.
These factors can significantly change the filter’s behavior even after regeneration.
For a normal use of the hood at an average working speed the carbon filter tends to lower its odor
absorption capacity after many regenerating cycles. It is always suggested to change the filter more or
less after two years of use.
DISPOSAL
Regarding disposal the regulations specify that every carbon must be analyzed and then disposed
depending on the analysis’ results. In the domestic use the absorbed particles are not harmful for the
environment, so the filters might be disposed as non-recyclable waste, following national and local
regulations.
The user can deliver the product to the local collection centers.
