If a pressure boost is desired to prevent potential nuisance shut down hunting, enter the pressure
differential in this field. This differential will be added to the original set point to create a new,
temporary, higher set point.
While on the system screen press
The new temporary set point will be activated only after the pump has attempted to shutdown
for lack of demand only to turn back on because of a minor drop in pressure after shutoff. Use this
field to define the time period between stop and start cycles which would indicate that hunting is
occurring (usually 1-5 seconds). If the system has a stop and start cycle within this time period it
will index a counter by 1 and when the counter hits the number inputted in the next field, the
higher set point will be activated for one start-stop cycle.
Use this field to set the number of short time period stop-start cycles (which may indicate shut off
hunting) which would need to occur before a boost setting is applied to the set point to prevent any
hunting when no demand exists.
