Configuration
19.1 Storm-Control Overview
When there is loop or malicious attacker in the network, there will be plenty of packets,
which occupy the bandwidth and even affect the network. Storm-control will avoid too much
packets appear in the network. Restrict the speed rate of port receiving broadcast/multicast/
unknown unicast packets and unknown unicast packets received by all ports. By default, all
frames storm control target rate is 256Kbps, Broadcast storm control is Enable; Multicast
storm control is Disable; Unicast storm control is Disable.
19.2 Storm-Control Configuration
19.2.1 Configure Storm-Control
Storm-Control configuration is configured in global configuration mode and enable/disable
in interface configuration mode, that is, administrator can enable it per port.
