Storage / Disposal
This chapter deals with procedures to be taken to the
storage after the decommissioning of the PS-500. The
aim is to protect the Equipment, the environment and
people from damages. Therefore, FORUM Handling Tools
recommends to read and implement the following
procedure accurately.
7.1
Storage of the entire device
Storage procedure
1. Store the equipment on a pallet located on an even, supporting surface.
» Observe the weight specifications in the technical data.
2. Ensure that the equipment is stored so that no person can be injured by moving
parts or sharp edges.
3. Secure the equipment with tensioning cables or in another manner to prevent it
from slipping or tipping when moved.
4. Lubricate the equipment as described in chapter “Lubrication”.
5. Conserve all bare metal surfaces. FORUM Handling Tools recommends the use of a
lubricant or Tectyl.
» These surfaces should be checked periodically to be sure that no corrosion has
occurred.
6. Protect the equipment against water penetration with a plastic tarp
