1. Open the hood. Be sure that the hood is clean and dry inside and out.
2. Center the protector on the hood to familiarize yourself with the mounting holes
locations.
3. Set the protector aside. Press the expansion plugs into the holes determined in step 2.
4. Re-place the protector on the hood with the expansion plugs centered in the mounting
holes.
5. Assemble the washers onto the screws (rubber side toward protector) and insert the
screws through the protector into the expansion plugs. Adjust the protector for best fit
then, tighten the screws into the expansion plugs (
do not over tighten ). See Illustration
#1.
Note: Do not pull on the protector when opening or closing the hood.
