1. Be sure that the hood is clean and dry inside and out. Release the hood, but do not open it.
2. Install all five bumpons as shown in
Illustration #1
.
Attention: The bumpons must be installed on
the hood not the protector!!!!
If the bumpons are installed on the protector, they will wear through
the paint.
3. Peel and fold the anti-abrasion film pads in half over the leading edge of the hood underneath each
of the holes in the protector.
See Illustration #2 & #3.
4. Push a “C” clip over each of the anti-abrasion film pads on the edge of the hood. Tighten a # 6 x
3/8” screw through the protector and into each of the clips – Note: The screws will tighten quickly –
do not over tighten
.

5. Make sure the “C” clips are all fully seated and the protector is centred then tighten a # 4 x 3/16”
screw into the bottom of each of the “C” clips.
Do not over tighten the screws

6. On some vehicles it may be necessary to adjust hood bumpers and/or latch for proper clearance.
Note: Do not pull on the protector when opening or closing the hood.

3/8” screw through the protector and into each of the clips – Note: The screws will tighten quickly –
