INSTALLATION

1.  Be sure that hood is clean and dry inside and out. Installation must be done above 10° Celsius or 50° Fahrenheit.
2.  Open the hood and centre the deflector on it.  Do not remove protective backing on the adhesive tape mounted on deflector.
3.  With a piece of chalk or grease pencil make 2 or 3 reference marks on the underside of the hood and mounting tab of the deflector

to aid in installation.

4.  Using the provided alcohol wiping pad, clean all areas on the underside of the hood where the adhesive tape will contact the hood.
5.  Remove the protective backing from the adhesive tape.
6.  Using the reference marks established in step 3, mount the deflector and firmly press it into place. Be sure the deflector is fully

seated to the underside of hood and that the ‘E’ clips, already installed on the outer wings of the deflector, are sitting on top of the
hood and not preventing the deflector from seating properly.

7.  Install the anti-abrasion film pad directly under where the ‘E’ clips will fit on the hood (wrap pads over the hood edge and

underneath by approx ½").

8.  Install ‘E’ clips by gently pulling the deflector wings towards the leading edge of the hood until they slide over and clip onto the

hood edge.

9.  On some vehicles it may be necessary to adjust the hood bumpers and/or latch for proper clearance.

10.  Install the five (5) bumpons on the hood about 2" behind the leading edge (where the deflector begins to turn up). Install one

bumpon at the centre and one directly behind each of the two ‘E’ clips.

Attention: The bumpons must be installed on the

hood not the deflector!!!!

If the bumpons are installed on the deflector, they will wear through the paint.

In order for the tape to develop its maximum adhesion to the hood, it is strongly recommended that it be left as undisturbed
as possible for 24 hours.

Note: Do not pull on the deflector when closing or opening the hood

OPTIONAL MOUNTING METHOD

1.

Follow steps 1-3 as above.

2.

Using a 3/32" drill bit, drill four holes in the hood centered through the holes already included on the mounting tabs of the deflector. Use care
when drilling not to damage the hood or deflector while doing this step.

3.

Install washers on the screws provided; the rubber part of the washer will seat against the deflector, insert into the holes and snug the screws in.

Do not over tighten screws.

4.

Continue with step 7 above.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Clean the deflector with a mild soap and water solution or plastic cleaner only. Do not use chemicals or solvents.

Periodically check to make sure the bumpons are in place and the deflector is secure.

Avoid using automatic car washes.

Do not pull on deflector when opening or closing the hood.
