Flexible visor storage system (if equipped)
Visors equipped with the flexible visor storage system can accommodate
various storage accessories. A sunglass clip and multi-function clip are
provided.
To attach one of the accessories, do
the following:
1. Insert the provided removal tool
(on the accessory holder) or a coin
into the slot on the plug and turn
1/4-turn in either direction to
remove. It may be necessary to
rotate the visor until the plug drops
away from the opening. When not in
use, place the plug in the provided
holder.
2. Remove the accessory from the holder and insert the end of the
storage accessory into the visor opening. Turn 1/4-turn in either direction
until the accessory snaps into place. For best results, ensure the open
end of the accessory is facing away from the windshield.
3. Reverse the procedure to remove the accessory and replace the cap or
change to a different accessory.
Additional accessories are available from your authorized dealer. See the
Accessories
chapter for more information.
ELECTRONIC COMPASS (IF EQUIPPED)
The compass heading is displayed in the center integrated display (CID).
The compass reading may be affected when you drive near large
buildings, bridges, power lines and powerful broadcast antenna. Magnetic
or metallic objects placed in, on or near the vehicle may also affect
compass accuracy.
Usually, when something affects the compass readings, the compass will
correct itself after a few days of operating your vehicle in normal
conditions. If the compass still appears to be inaccurate, a manual
calibration may be necessary. Refer to
Compass calibration
adjustment.
Most geographic areas (zones) have a magnetic north compass point that
varies slightly from the northerly direction on maps. This variation is four
degrees between adjacent zones and will become noticeable as the
vehicle crosses multiple zones. A correct zone setting will eliminate this
error. Refer to
Compass zone adjustment.
