Measure the resistance between the FEM C191 pin 9, circuit 767 (LB/OG), harness side and the ambient temperature
sensor C182 pin 1, circuit 767 (LB/OG), harness side.
Is resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to
E5

No
REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

CHECK CIRCUIT 767 (LB/OG) AND CIRCUIT 1310 (RD/LB) FOR SHORT TO BATTERY
Measure the voltage between the FEM C191 pin 9, circuit 767 (LB/OG), harness side and ground.
Measure the voltage between the FEM C191 pin 2, circuit 1310 (RD/LB), harness side and ground.
Is any voltage present?
Yes
REPAIR the circuit in question. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
INSTALL a new ambient temperature sensor. TEST the system for normal operation.

CHECK CIRCUIT 767 (LB/OG) AND CIRCUIT 1310 (RD/LB) FOR OPEN
Measure the resistance between the FEM C191 pin 2, circuit 1310 (RD/LB), harness side and the ambient temperature
sensor C182 pin 2, circuit 1310 (RD/LB), harness side.
Measure the resistance between the FEM C191 pin 9, circuit 767 (LB/OG), harness side and the ambient temperature
sensor C182 pin 1, circuit 767 (LB/OG), harness side.
Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
Yes

No
