Designed to convert standard-definition uncompressed video signals to and from com-
pressed MPEG-2 files, MMC Media Codec Cards deliver superior encoding and decoding
functionality.
MMC Media Codec Cards
The MMC family features four PCI cards to meet a range of needs, from general-purpose,
real-time capture and playback to real-time decoding from satellite, terrestrial, or private
television networks. Each card comes with SD codec capability, enabling MPEG encoding
and MPEG decoding to be handled by separate hardware. This feature provides the highest-
quality real-time encoding and decoding—with complete video format flexibility.
Technical Specifications
The MMC Media Codec Cards are available in four models—the MMC-1 Composite Media
Codec Card, the MMC-2 SD-SDI/Composite Media Codec Card, the MMC-3 Component/
SD-SDI/Composite Media Codec Card, and the MMC-4 DV/Component/SD-SDI/Composite
