Ensure that the brake pads, brake discs
and brake surfaces on the rims are not
exposed to cleaning or servicing fluids or
oils, as this reduces the performance of
the brakes .
24.1 Maintenance and
replacement of wearing parts
Components to be changed may only be
replaced with identical, original parts .
Wearing parts too may only be replaced
with identical, original components .
Using any parts other than the original
ones will cause the manufacturer’s liabil-
ity for material defects and/or the manu -
facturer’s warranty service to become
void . There is also an increased risk of
accidents or falls . Find out from your
FLYER dealer which components may
be replaced and which components may
not be replaced in order to ensure that
the type approval remains valid .
The safe functioning of your FLYER e-bike can
only be guaranteed with regular maintenance .
Maintenance work may only be performed by
FLYER specialist retailers .
25. Environmental
protection tips
Please take the environment into account when
caring for, cleaning or disposing of your FLYER
e-bike. Use biologically degradable cleaning
agents for maintenance and cleaning where pos -
sible and ensure that cleaning agents are not
washed into the drain .
The complete vehicle, all components, lubrication
and cleaning agents and particularly the battery
(hazardous goods) must be disposed of in an ap -
propriate way .
The following symbol appears on the type plate of
the FLYER e-bike and on the battery:
The symbol depicting a
wheeled rubbish bin with a
line through it means that
the motor and battery must
not be disposed of with
household waste when
they reach the end of their
service life .
If electronic components
are no longer usable,
please return them to your
FLYER specialist retailer .
