This is how to open the quick-release fastener:
1. Turn the lever of the quick-release fastener an-
ti-clockwise. Hold the nut firmly on the opposite
side .
• All
quick-release fasteners must
be firmly closed before you set off.
Check all quick-release fasteners for
correct attachment if the vehicle was
parked for a short time without super
-
vision and before every ride .
•
A closed quick-release fastener must
be folded close to the frame, fork or
seat post .
Lock down wheels or other parts of your
vehicle that are attached with quick-re-
lease fasteners when you park your bi
-
cycle .
Quick-release axle
The front wheel of the Upstreet6 has a quick-re-
lease axle with a screw connection to ensure se
-
cure and easy mounting of the wheel .
The quick-release axle is inserted between the
two fork legs and is tightened using an Allen key
with the torque printed on the quick-release axle.
Ask your FLYER specialist retailer to ex
-
plain in detail how the wheels and all rel
-
evant parts are to be correctly and safely
attached using the quick-release fastener
or quick-release axle system installed.
Please also follow the fork manufactur
-
er’s instructions where applicable.
Inappropriately installed wheels may
shift while you are riding or detach from
the vehicle . This may damage the vehi
-
cle and lead to severe or life-threatening
injuries to the rider . It is therefore impor
-
tant to take note of the following instruc
-
tions: Ensure that the axle, dropouts and
quick-release mechanisms are free of
dirt . Take care that they are correctly at
-
tached at all times .
Contact your FLYER specialist retailer
and have your vehicle checked if you
are not sure .
Check that all quick-release fasteners
and quick-release axles are firmly at-
tached, even if your FLYER only re
-
mained unsupervised for a short time .
You may only start riding when all
quick-release fasteners are firmly closed.

Setting up the seating position
The seat, handlebars and stem must be adjusted
to your body mass and the desired sitting position
in order to use your FLYER safely and comfortably .
Only allow your FLYER specialist retailer
to work on the handlebars and stem .
These are components which are crucial
for your safety, so incorrect work and
tools in this area of the bicycle could
lead to serious falls .
The seat and stem can be attached with
screw connections or quick-release fas-
teners . Always tighten the screw con
-
nections with the correct torque . This
can be found in the enclosed technical
data on your FLYER .
Seat height
In order to transfer the pedal force effectively to
the pedals, you must set your seat to the appro
-
priate height .
Find the ideal position by sitting on the FLYER at
the vertical crank position and placing the heel of
your bare foot onto the pedal in its lowest position .
Now the bottom leg should be stretched . If this
is not the case, dismount, adjust the seat in the
required direction and try again .
Ensure that the quick-release fastener is com-
pletely closed after the adjustment process .
There are markings on the seat post
which show how far it can be pulled out
of the frame . Never pull the seat post be
-
90° arm-upper body angle
