2.3 Safety instructions
All safety instructions must be observed and followed.
Failure to follow the safety instructions may lead to serious injury or death or cause
environmental and/or property damage.
Adherence to the safety instructions contained in these operating instructions will help
you to avoid risks and to ensure that the product is used to its full potential.
Safety instructions on the activities are listed at the start of the respective chapter.
Special safety instructions on individual action steps are given under the respective
action step.
2.4 Commissioning in hazardous area
Explosion hazard!
> For use in hazardous locations only use explosion-proof motors
which are approved for category 2 (ZONE 1).
> For transferring liquids of explosion groups IIA and IIB and
temperature class T1 to T4, only pumps that are certified for use in
category 1 (ZONE 0) must be used.
> The ex-protected motor must be located outside the mobile
container.
> Observe the Technical Guidelines for "Flammable Liquids" (TRbF)
and the explosion protection guidelines of the Employer's Liability
Insurance Association of the Chemical Industry (BG Chemie) during
installation and operation.
Attention!
> Drums with inliner must not be used.
Attention!
> Always set up the system on a flat solid construction.
Attention!
> Make sure that the operator has read and understood the
operating instructions.
Warning!
Any maintenance on the drum emptying system may be carried out only
after having switched off the pump and disconnected the air supply line.
For this, the motor must be switched off and the plug disconnected.
Danger!
Danger of poisoning from harmful substances / vapours
> Immediately remove spilled harmful substances in an
environmentally sound manner.
> Never eat or drink when filling harmful liquids.
