to the input. If the probe has a shield it may be connected to the green “Guard”
connector.
10.3.2 Setup
To make temperature measurements using your probe with the scanner you
must set up the following:
1. Make sure all of the connections are properly set up as explained in Sec-
tion 10.3.1. Select the channel of the probe you want to measure by
pressing the corresponding channel select button above the input
terminals.
2. Set up the correct reference, current, conversion algorithm, and conver-
sion coefficients as explained in the “Setup” section of the 1575 manual
(Section 10.3.1.3). Other probes may be connected to other channels of
the scanner and set up in the same way.
3. The 1575 should now be able to measure temperature accurately through
the scanner. The 1575 can be programmed to automatically switch be-
tween the channels as explained in Section 10.5.2 below.
