3.10.1.8.

Station Kill

The Station Kill overlay is accessed by selecting the STATION KILL button from the Area Map Mapping
Functions or by selecting the Ident button of an active station on the Area Map page. See Figure 3-27.
This overlay is used to fully or partially fail transmissions from radio stations.

3.10.1.8.1.

Using the Station Kill Function

1) Select the STATION IDENT button. An alphanumeric keypad will appear.

2) Enter the 3- or 4- letter identifier code using the displayed keypad. Select the ENTER
button. The station’s identifier will be displayed and the applicable Station Type button will
be illuminated.

3) Fully or partially kill station transmissions.

a) For a full station failure, deselect all illuminated button on the Station Kill overlay. If the
Ident button for this station is displayed on the Area Map, it will be illuminated red.

b) For a partial station failure, deselect the station type button that shows the type of
transmission to fail. If the Ident button for this station is displayed on the Area Map, it will
be illuminated white.

4) To reset all failed stations, use the CLEAR FAILED STATIONS button on the
Freezes/Resets page. To reset individual stations, select the Ident button of a failed station on
the Area Map page.
