APPROACH PLOT
The Approach Plot page is accessed by selecting the APPR PLOT button from the Map Collar or by
selecting the APPROACH PLOT page button on the Master Index page. If the active runway has an ILS
approach the ILS Approach Plot page will be shown. If the active runway does not have an ILS approach,
the Non-precision Approach page will appear. On the bottom right portion of each page a status block
appears showing current aircraft and environment conditions. On the right portion of each page is a station
kill boundary box that contains direct entry buttons used to fully or partially fail transmissions from radio
stations.
In an ILS approach, the upper portion of the page is the approach plan view, showing the runway and
the airplane’s centerline deviation and distance from the runway. See Figure 3-14. The runway heading
is shown on the left side of the page. The active airport and runway identifiers are displayed in the upper
right corner of the page. The lines of the feather are scaled to indicate one and two dot deviation from
the localizer. The marker beacons are shown at their correct relative positions to the runway.
