Using the side panels
Folding down the side panels
-
The side panels can be folded down from the side and rear.
-
Tandem three-way tippers are fitted with swing-mounted side panels.
-
To open the lower side panel, you must first remove the connection bolts between the side
panels and attached panels.
-
The locks of the attached swing-mounted panels must remain closed and secured with safety
hooks.
-
If the side panels are equipped with additional side panel tension springs, ensure that the
springs pull the side panels up.
-
If the vehicle is loaded with bulk materials, the side panels open very quickly.
If you are opening the side panels when the vehicle is loaded with bulk
materials, it is therefore especially important to ensure that no persons or
objects are in the swivel range.
-
Caution: The attached swing-mounted panels swing out when the side
panels are opened and the bed is loaded with bulk materials.
When opening the side panels, ensure that no persons or objects are in the
danger area.
Be especially aware of fingers and hands (danger of crushing).
When tipping to the rear with three-way tippers, the side panel must only be
opened with the aid of the swing-mounted panel.
(No folding down of the rear lower side panel when tipping to the rear)
Central locking with swing-mounted panel
-
The locking is implemented with a dead point lever.
-
It must be ensured that there is always enough pretension.
-
If there is not enough pretension, it must be adjusted via the thread.
Caution:
Operate the dead point lever with only one hand on the handle.
