Hand brake lever (detachable brake)
– parking brake
Prerequisite:
If there is no retaining bracket on your towing
vehicle, you must fit a suitable bracket at an
appropriate location. It should be easy to reach
while working.
After the coupling process, you must relocate the
brake lever to the towing vehicle.
This allows you to operate the brake from the
operator workstation.
Applying the brake:
To activate the hand brake, pull the actuating
lever towards the rear of the vehicle.
The brake locks automatically.
Releasing the brake:
Press in the button
at the tip of the actuating
lever to unlock the brake. Move the lever
forwards while keeping the button depressed.
Once you have uncoupled the trailer, you must
place the brake lever in the designated bracket
on the draw gear.
You can also operate the detachable brake
(on the draw gear) when the trailer is uncoupled.
Emergency braking mechanism:
The pull cable must be securely connected to the
towing vehicle. If the trailer detaches from the
towing vehicle during travel, this triggers the
emergency braking mechanism.
To disengage the brake, you must release the
retaining lug.

6.7 Electrical systems
Before each journey, check to ensure the electrical light system is working properly.
The trailer must only be used when the lighting system is connected and operational.
Before working on the electrical system, disconnect the connecting cable from the
tractor.
