Optimization of the transducer distance

The transmitter is still displaying the installation parameters, see section 5.2.
• Press ENTER.
• Enter the transducer distance.
• For the optimization of the transducer distance, see operating instruction FLUXUS.
• For changing the transducer distance, see sections below.
• If the WaveInjector parts have not reached the operating temperature yet, check the transducer distance after approx. 30

minutes. Repeat the steps, if necessary.

Afterwards, the measurement will be started automatically.

Changing the transducer distance by < 20 mm

• Loosen the screws on the covers, see Fig. 4.66.

• Remove the covers.
• Loosen the positioning screw but do not unscrew it completely.
• Shift the transducers in the covers. Each transducer may be shifted by max. ± 10 mm.

• Fix the transducers in the cover with the positioning screws.
• For the installation the transducers on the pipe, see section 4.4.

Changing the transducer distance by > 20 mm

If the transducer distance of an installed WaveInjector is to be changed significantly, jaws, chain support or one of the two
pipe mounting fixtures have to be removed and installed once again, see section 4.2.
Afterwards, the installation of the coupling plate has to be repeated with a new piece of metallic coupling foil, see section 4.3.

Important!

Loosen the screws alternately. Excessive pressure exerted on the transducer can lead to damages.

Notice!

It is important to shift both transducers.

Example

The transducer distance is to be increased by 12 mm.
Each transducers in the cover is shifted by 6 mm in the direction of the transducer cables.
