How are you doing?
For the real test of your physical activity, use your pedometer to track your steps and see how you
measure up!
4,000 – 5,000 steps: You’re sedentary.
5,500 – 7,500: You’re doing well, but need to “step it up”!
8,500 and up: You’re active, keep up the good work.
10,000 – 12,000+: You’re losing weight, having more energy, and feeling good.
People who wear a pedometer walk about 2,000 more steps a day than those who do not. That
burns at least an extra 100 calories a day! If you want to lose weight, work up to 12,000 or more
steps a day. Remember, extra steps add up to a healthier body and state of mind and you deserve
to live healthy!
