FA260KP-OM, FA560KP-OM
REMOTE KEYPADS
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The FA260KP-OM and FA560KP-OM are addressable remote keypads intended for use with the FA408C and
FA848C control panels. They have the following features:

Option for continuous or timed backlit display
•
Dedicated Function Keys
•
Built-in Sounders
•
Keypad addresses set via the keypad keys (no DIP switches required).

Use the FA560KP-OM with the red color insert (provided for fire
installations) as required by the local authority having jurisdiction.
The following table shows the LEDs and their functions:

Function
Red
Lights when the system is armed in any mode.
Green
Lights when the system is "ready" to be armed.
TURNING BACKLIGHT TIMER ON and OFF

Press and hold down the INSTANT and CODE keys at the
same time for about three seconds.
Press the [1] key that toggles a zero or one in the display:
0 = Backlight always on
1 = Backlight on a 120-second timeout.
Press [

] key to exit this Backlight menu.
FA560KP-OM
Press and hold down the INSTANT and CODE keys at the
same time for about three seconds.
Press the [1] key to toggle the display between:
0 = Backlight always on
and
1 = Backlight on a 120-second timeout.
Press [

] key to exit this Backlight menu.
WIRING AND INSTALLATION
The keypads can be surface-mounted directly to a drywall, or
to a single- or double-gang electical box.
1.
Remove the case back by pushing against each of two
tabs. Pry apart the case back as each tab is depressed.
See diagram below.
2.
Route wiring from the control panel through the
opening in the case back.
3.
Mount the case back to a wall or electrical box.
4.
Wire directly from the keypad’s terminal block to the
terminal block on the control panel (see control’s
Summary of Connections label for correct terminal
connections).
