APPLICATION

1. Insert the USB Prep Tool CD into the media drive of the PC.

2. Navigate to the location of the CD and double-click Setup.exe to start the installer. Click

Proceed.

3. On the Welcome screen, click Next.

4. Accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.

Wait while the installer verifies the installation requirements.

OTE

If the PC does not already have .Net framework installed, click Accept to accept the

terms of the license agreement that appears on the screen. Wait up to 10 minutes as the
.Net framework files are installed.

5. At the next screen, accept or change the destination location, and then click Next.

6. When prompted, click Install to begin the installation.

Wait while the application is installed on the PC.

7. At the InstallShield Wizard Complete screen, make sure that the Launch the USB Prep Tool

Application check box is selected, and then click Finish.

8. Remove the USB Prep Tool CD.

In this procedure, USB Prep Tool is used to copy the system software to the USB flash

drive.

1. If necessary, start USB Prep Tool by clicking Start on the PC and choosing All Programs > EFI

> USB Prep Tool.

2. Insert the System Software DVD into the media drive of the PC.

3. Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port on the PC.

All data on the USB flash drive is lost when the drive is reformatted during the preparation
procedure. Make sure that no valuable data resides on the USB flash drive.
