Setting up the Fiery from a Windows Computer

DNS Setup

You can enable DNS setup from the Protocol2 tab. DNS Setup allows the Fiery to
resolve a name to an IP address.

OTE

This option must be enabled to use PrintMe services. For more information, see

“PrintMe Setup options”

on page 5-34.

Use this option to specify the DNS host name (also known as the TCP/IP host name),
which is the host name in Fiery Setup.

Get DNS Automatically

—Select to allow the Fiery to resolve a name to an IP

address automatically.

Use DNS on

—Specify the IPX/SPX frame on which to use the DNS.

Primary DNS Server

—Specify the IP address of the primary DNS server. This option

only appears if you selected Get DNS address automatically.

Secondary DNS Server

—Specify the IP address of the secondary DNS server. This

option only appears if you did not select Get DNS address automatically.

Domain Name

—Enter the DNS domain name.

Host Name

—Enter the DNS host name of the Fiery.
