Service Procedures

Replacing parts on the motherboard

This section describes how to remove and replace DIMMs and the battery on the
motherboard. Before performing any of these procedures, you must first power off the
Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) as described in “To shut down the
Print Controller X4(AR-PE1)” on page 4-3, and remove the side panel as described in
“To open the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1)” on page 4-4.

DIMMs

The Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) motherboard has three DIMM sockets (DIMM1,
DIMM2, DIMM3) with 192MB installed.

Approved DIMMs are available from your service representative.
