This chapter provides an overview of Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) features.

Hardware features

• CPU—433MHz 

• Memory—192MB

• 8.4GB hard disk drive (minimum)

• Built-in CD-ROM drive and ZIP drive

• Battery—3V manganese dioxide lithium coin cell (Panasonic CR2032 or equivalent)

Networking and connectivity

• Supports AppleTalk, TCP/IP, and IPX protocols simultaneously

• Supports EtherTalk Phase 2

. For optimal Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) performance, current versions 

of the user software should be maintained on every network computer that might print 
to the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1).
