CiTRANS R820 Edge Router Hardware Description
2.1 Model
The CiTRANS R820 uses the PDP250B. The hardware codes of the PDP is
3.000.073-1FB (applicable to a 19-inch cabinet) or 3.000.073-2FB (applicable to a
21-inch cabinet).
2.2 Function
Major functions of this PDP250B are as follows:
u The PDP introduces the active and standby -48 V power inputs from the
outside (such as the head of row cabinet) and outputs active and standby
power concurrently for two subracks.
u The PDP receives the alarm information from subracks, presents alarms
through indicators on top of the cabinet, and reports alarms to an upper-level
equipment (such as the head of row cabinet).
u It also implements the lightning protection function and withstands a voltage
surge of differential mode 2 kV or common mode 4 kV to ensure normal
operation of the equipment.
2.3 Appearance
Figure 2-1 shows the appearance of a PDP250B.
