Malfunction Possible cause Remedy
Jerking travel. Overload Reduce mass of the moving
load or the travel speed.
Observe limit values.
Torsional stresses

Check the mounting surface
for the required evenness.

Align axes/slides.

Lubricate axes.

Change the travel velocity.
Incorrect controller settings Change controller parameters.
The swing-out time of the pro-
file is too long. Resonant frequency of profile
and payload is too low. Reinforce the axis mounting.
Change the payload geometry.
Vibrations on the carriage Operation at the resonance
point of the axis Change the travel velocity.
Change the acceleration.
Motor does not rotate. Motor controller is not yet ena-
bled. Check signal of the motor con-
troller.
For motor with brake: brake is
active. Release brake.
Motor turns in the wrong direc-
tion or vibrates. Wiring fault Check wiring.
Incorrect controller settings Change controller parameters.
