Installation

7.1

Safety instructions and requirements

Requirements:

The product is fully assembled.

The product is aligned and tested.

The transportation locks for the moving parts are removed.

The power supply is switched off.

The compressed air supply is switched off.

DANGER

Injury or death due to electric shock.
• Before working on the product: switch off the power supply and lock it to prevent reconnection.

When working on the product, observe the following:

Never connect the plug connectors and electrical interfaces when the power is connected.

Observe the handling specifications for electro-statically sensitive devices.

Do not disconnect or connect tubing when the compressed air supply is switched on.

7.2

Cables and tubes

7.2.1

General

Delivery status

Delivery status "partially assembled": the cables and hoses are enclosed.

Delivery status "completely mounted": the cables and hoses are installed in the energy chains.

The cables and tubing must be dimensioned such that at least the connection length specified in the
order is available at the end of the energy chain.
The connection lengths of the various cables may differ at the end of the energy chain.

Cables

The cables must be uniquely identifiable.

Label the cables prior to installation.

Attach one inscription label each at the beginning and end of the cable near the plug.

The inscription labels of the mounted cables are attached using the following system.
