5.3.2

Replace the large surface−mounted silencer or exhaust plate

Proceed as follows:

1. Loosen the 6 fastening screws of the large surface−

mounted silencer or exhaust plate and remove it from the
basis component.

2. Check the seal between the basis component and the

surface−mounted silencer or exhaust plate for damage.
Replace the seal if it is damaged.

3. Make sure that the seal is seated correctly. The seating is

determined by guides in the large surface−mounted
silencer or exhaust plate.

4. Fasten the large surface−mounted silencer or exhaust

plate only with the original screws. Tighten the screws in
diagonally opposite sequence wuth 0.59

0.71 Nm

(exhaust plate) or 0.90

1.10 Nm (large surface−mounted

silencer).
