Step
Design of piston
As piston with
separate seal rings
- Leave piston and piston rod screwed together
- Use a flat screwdriver to lift up all seals, O-rings and guide rings from the piston
- Fit new seals and O-rings greased on the inside
- Fit a new guide ring
- Fill the periphery of the piston up to the level of the seal lips with grease (grease reservoir)
- Grease seal lips separately
- Grease inside of cylinder barrel
As complete
piston
- Remove complete piston from piston rod
- Fit a new greased complete piston
- Ask Festo about the tightening torque for screw connectors between piston and piston rod
- Fill the periphery of the piston up to the level of the seal lips with grease (grease reservoir)
- Grease seal lips separately
- Grease inside of cylinder barrel
