The EMCA is integrated into a PROFINET network through the following connections.

Note

The Ethernet interface [X1] of the EMCA is intended exclusively for connection to local,

industrial fieldbus networks.

Direct connection to a public telecommunications network is not permissible.

PROFINET cables are 4-core, sheathed copper cables. The maximum permitted transmission length

between communication terminal points (PROFINET-End-to-End Link) for copper cabling is 100 meters.

Only use PROFINET-specific cabling compliant with Conformance Class B
