8.3
Lifting the load
Tipping and/or overturning
The manual movement of heavy loads involves a risk of tipping / overturning resulting from
movements carried out quickly and without paying due attention. The assigned workers must,
therefore, perform the manoeuvres of moving the stacker, especially on curves or at low
speed, with extreme caution.
Tipping and/or overturning
The manual moving of heavy loads must ALWAYS be done with load at a low position (max.
30 cm from the ground).
Pull and/or push the grip handle on the upright until the wheels on the Truck pallet begin to
rotate.
8.4
Release the load onto a stack or a shelf
1.
Move the Truck pallet towards the pile / shelf.
2.
Secure the pallet truck by operating the parking brake as described in the paragraph.
3.
Open the platform lifting lever. See step 2.
4.
Raise the platform to the desired height.
Tipping and/or overturning
The lifting and moving of heavy loads should ALWAYS be done on flat, horizontal and
unyielding surfaces, that have a hardness and strength that is sufficient to support the weight
of the Truck pallet plus its maximum load capacity.
5.
Return the platform lifting lever to the resting position.
6.
Unlock the Truck pallet by releasing the parking brake as described in paragraph 8.5.
7.
Move the platform above the pile / shelf by pushing the Truck pallet forward. See step
9.
8.
Lower the platform until the load is completely supported and stable on the pile / shelf,
by gently rotating the lowering knob, anti-clockwise.
Supporting the load
Always make sure that the load is perfectly supported on the pile or shelf. The load must have
all four corners supported and be perfectly stable.
