07-Istruzioni per la precarica di accumulatori idropneumatici
7.10 Instructions for preloading the hydropneumatic accumulators
Checking or reducing the pressure.
►
Discharge the pressure in the machine circuit.
►
Make sure that there is no pressure inside the accumulator circuit. Remove or isolate the accumulator.
►
Completely unscrew the protection cap of the preloading valve on the damper and screw on the accumulator
preloading equipment.
►
Close the nitrogen discharge valve and screw the top opening knob until the pressure inside the accumulator is
displayed on the pressure gauge. If the pressure is too high, slightly open the discharge valve until the desired
value is reached. Once this operation is concluded, close the nitrogen discharge valve.
►
Unscrew the top knob and eliminate the residual pressure present in the appliance, opening the discharge valve
again.
►
Remove the nitrogen preloading device, fit the protection cap on the accumulator valve.
Increasing the preloading pressure.
►
Remove the protection cap of the preloading valve on the damper to preload the accumulator or to increase the
preloading pressure. Assemble the preloading device and screw in the discharge valve fully.
►
Connect the flexible pipe to a cylinder of nitrogen and remove the protection cap of the preloading valve on
the damper. Without forcing, screw down the opening knob and slowly turn on the tap of the nitrogen cylinder.
Reloading must be done slowly, to allow the membrane or sack to adapt gradually to the variation in pressure.
►
Check the preloading pressure by means of a pressure gauge. Increase the preloading pressure up to a value
slightly higher than the desired value. Unscrew the needle-opening knob. Turn off the tap on the cylinder. Empty
the flexible pipe by opening and closing the valve. Wait a few minutes.
►
Screw down the needle-opening knob again and check the preloading pressure. If it is correct, unscrew the
needle-opening knob and remove the device with the flexible pipe. If it is not correct, repeat the previously
described operations in order to increase or decrease the preloading pressure.
Install a pressure reducer at the outlet of the nitrogen cylinders.
Notes
1)
For preloading use ONLY NITROGEN (N);
2)
Standard diaphragms of nitryl, butyl or viton;
3)
The preloading pressure must be higher than ¼ of the maximum value and less than 9/10 of the minimum
operating pressure;
4)
Check periodically, every two or three months and, if necessary, recharge the accumulator.
DO NOT USE ANY OTHER GAS EXCEPT NITROGEN (N)!
DANGER OF EXPLOSION!
Before checking the gas preload or varying the pressure, ensure that the accumulator is
completely empty on the liquid side.
DANGER
During maintenance, ensure that the preloading pressure corresponds to the value required.
If the preloading pressure is not correct, it will cause bad operation of the system, jeopardise the safety of the arm,
and compromise the working life of the membrane or sack. The preloading value supplied by Ferri srl refers to a
temperature of 20°C.
Check preloading within one week of starting up the machine. After that, check it every two or three months.
